Responsibilities Processing stock adjustments Daily update of cash and banking transactions Reconciling bank statements to the general ledger Preparation and posting of nominal, sales and purchase ledger Maintain and upload HMRC documents including for payroll and VAT returns Credit control Process credit card and staff expenses Manage banking, cash records, payments and receipts Assist with day-to-day operations of the Finance department, including filing, report generation, journal posting and preparation Processing of weekly and monthly payroll Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date The Candidate A minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts, within the manufacturing or industrial sector Good knowledge of accountancy, bookkeeping, and cash management Full driving licence Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and other accounting software's Ability to prioritise work and/or assignments to meet strict deadlines Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal For more information on this Accounts Assistant position, please apply direct or contact Darren Buckley at AJ Chambers.

AJ Chambers are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading construction company who have offered bespoke facilities management contracts for over a decade. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company and head up the accounts department. A generous remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate. The Role As Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for solely heading up the accounts department, under the Director's remit. Day-to-day duties include: All financial aspects of the Business in liaison with Director and external accountants Check the bank accounts and print off statements - enter bacs payments received on Sage Assist Credit Control with one other CIS Bought ledger input and payments Weekly bank reconciliations Quarterly VAT returns including EC Sales Lists Check all nominal accounts to see if anything untoward Assisting with Yearend account/quarterly management accounts for the external accountants Enter cheque payments on to Sage Taking calls (both sales and accounts based) dealing with queries The Candidate Significant experience within accounts, ideally gained within the construction sector Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Good working knowledge of financial systems Experience in preparation of budgets, management accounts and variance reports Excellent attention to detail For more information on this Accounts Manager position, please contact Darren Buckley at AJ Chambers.
